Pilates - Sarah Lawther
Sarah is a Level 3 Body Control Pilates Matwork teacher, having trained at the Body Control Pilates Studio in London, and is a member of the Body Control Pilates Association. Body Control Pilates is renowned as a world-leading education provider for Pilates teaching.
Body Control Pilates is of an holistic nature. Central to the Method is 'awareness of your own body' and each exercise is built around its eight basic principles:
- Flowing Movements
Classes are held on a Sunday morning in the Garden Room, and places are limited (maximum five people per class) to allow for individual attention.

Many years ago, Sarah was recommended Pilates as a way of rebuilding strength and managing back pain after having three children, and has been hooked ever since! Sarah finds that Pilates has not only helped to rebuild her strength, and improve her posture, but also helps her to relax and unwind from the day. Sarah particularly likes that Pilates can work for everyone, regardless of fitness level, and still regularly goes to classes herself.
