Simon Mulvany - Chiropractor and Chartered Physiotherapist
Simon is a McTimoney Chiropractor and Chartered Physiotherapist, educated at Nottingham University, McTimoney College of Chiropractic and the University of Wales. He is state registered with The General Chiropractic Council (GCC), the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Information Commissioner's Office (IOC).
GCC and HCPC guidelines, standards of proficiency and codes of practice are always maintained, as are the latest IOC regulations regarding data protection.
Simon works mostly with spinal, pelvic and shoulder complaints, using a variety of manual therapy techniques. The initial assessment includes a full medical history and description of any problems that the individual wants to improve on or resolve. The aim is always on safety and appropriateness and the focus is on individual goals. Education is a factor that is important within treatment plans, manual therapy is one part of the jigsaw to improving overall health along with postures, ergonomics, exercise, diet & lifestyle.
The first assessment and treatment session is usually £60.00 (£48.00 introductory offer at the Magnolia Centre) and will take between 35-50 minutes. Follow on treatment sessions are £38.00 and take between 20-35 minutes.
Simon has a very humanistic and individualistic approach to his work. Goal setting is targeted very early within the treatment plan, with improvements expected usually between two and four treatments. If the agreed initial outcomes are not met by this time period, then a re-assessment is made and referral to the appropriate health professional follows.
Simon's clinics run early Wednesday and Friday mornings. Please contact the centre on 0115 960 8855 to book an appointment
Liam Mulvany - Chiropractor
Liam qualified as a McTimoney Chiropractor in 1991. He now works from three centres around the Midlands.
Liam chose the McTimoney technique after experiencing dramatic results from his own first chiropractic treatment.
" I can still remember how I felt after my first treatment back in the late 80's"
The Mctimoney technique works by correcting skeletal asymmetry, paying particular emphasis to the pelvis. Liam often explains "that the pelvis has a greater influence on the rest of the body than the rest of the body does the pelvis."
The low back is "goverened" by the level of the pelvis. Level pelvis equates to straight spine.A pelvic tilt causes the vertebrae in the low back to start to pull to one side putting massive stresses on the lumbar/ sacral junction. (low back). This is a possible cause of many low back problems.
The first assessment and treatment session is usually £60.00 and will take between 35-50 minutes. Follow on treatment sessions are £38.00 and take between 20-30 minutes.
Liam's clinics run on Mondays and Thursdays. Please contact the centre on 0115 960 8855 to book an appointment
